I should preface this by saying...
…that when I was younger, I had a serious Beatles obsession. In 1994 my first music purchase was the cassette-tape of Revolver from Starship Records and Tapes in Tulsa. But that’s not important.
My neighbor is a singer. She’s not bad, but she sings very very loudly. Most of our shared-wall space is in the kitchen and bathroom. This morning, she’s singing Let it Be in the shower…so loud I can make out every syllable. And what’s my reaction, as a 26-year old man? To get annoyed. To think about how much I hate noisy neighbors.
But then I think for a second. How would I have reacted ten years ago, as a 16-year-old kid with a black light and an Abbey Road poster?
“There’s a naked girl next door singing Let it Be. Life is awesome.”
Oh how time changes things.
